This is a pathway program jointly developed by Ho Chi Minh City University of Social Science and Humanities and Deakin University (Deakin) to transfer students' first and second year of study directly into the second year of Deakin's Bachelor degree. Students will be eligible to complete this Bachelor degree through Deakin online or on-campus once the border re-opens.

Joining this program, students will study for the first 2 years at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and the last 2 years at Deakin University (Melbourne, Australia).

In Vietnam, students will study the fundamental subjects and majors: Theoretical foundations of journalism and media, Introduction to journalism - media, History of journalism, Photography, News Writing and Reporting, Interviews, combined with practical activities such as visiting the newsroom, participating in workshops. Thanks to that, students have built a solid foundation of press - communication theory, get practical experiences to approach and understand the Vietnamese media environment.

At Deakin University, students can apply for admission to one of the majors: Journalism, Public Relations, Advertising, Electronic Communication to study. Besides, students can participate in many short-term courses, specialized seminars to supplement their knowledge. Combined with theory, the curriculum also has internship activities, internships, tours, at leading media institutions. With the social and academic environment used entirely in English, two years of studying in Australia will be a very valuable time for students to study, research, practice skills, and think multicultural.

Upon graduation, students will receive a Bachelor of Communication with international value from Deakin University (Bachelor of Arts in Communication with a major in Journalism) . Students can stay in Australia or return to Vietnam to work for press agencies, radio-TV stations, media-advertising companies, foreign affairs department, public relations department with the fee. attractive entry. The school considers 30 criteria by methods: Considering the scores of the combination A01, D14, D15, D01; Examination of the results of the Capacity Assessment by VNU City Organized by HCM; graduation exam results of international high schools; priority is given to enrolling students at 149 high schools in accordance with the regulations of VNU-HCM in 2021.
